Helps to optimise our health at a cellular level!
Over the few decades much has changed in our environments, diets, lifestyles and health. Cancer statistics have changed drastically over the past 60years, even though medical advances have enabled people to live longer, overcome certain cancers and manage various chronic illnesses, the problem is that more people are being diagnosed with these illness and getting sick and from younger ages. Other chronic degenerative illnesses are on the rise and with the many diseases that are afflicting younger people, we have to ask: what is wrong today and what are we not doing or what should we be doing?
The simple answer in taking a positive step to improve your health is to ALKALISE your blood. Our bodies have been designed to detox and clear toxins but due to the fact that we now have a toxin overload, and we don’t help our health because we have added to the toxin overload and have decreased support by leading unhealthy lifestyles and that is what where the problems is. We do hear about what we should be doing but we don’t do enough, we don’t drink enough water, we don’t eat correctly, we don’t exercise.
Daily we are exposed to a multitude of toxins, much of which we have no control over. See further down for sources of toxins. It is a fact that cancers cannot start in an alkaline environment, so if we improve the alkalinity of the blood, we may provide cancer prevention. We are made up of more than 30trillion red blood cells, so it stands to reason that if we start by improving the health of these cells, we will improve our overall body health.
Nature has provided wonderful healing powers of grasses, grass contains a nutrient called Chlorophyll- Chlorophyll is the phytochemical that gives leaves, plants and algae their green colour It has been found to have almost identical chemical structure to haemoglobin(our blood) It helps to rebuild and replenish our red blood cells(improving quality and quantity), boosting our energy and increasing our wellbeing almost instantly. It is the plant equivalent of the oxygen-carrying red pigment haemoglobin in red blood cells. Dietary chlorophyll inhibits disease and bacteria and provides therapeutic effect such as reducing inflammation and clearing out heavy metal toxins. Many varieties of grasses are classed as Superfoods- superfoods are a foods that have additional health benefits beyond simple nutrition and may offer help in treating various illnesses.
Super Nutri greens is what I have developed- it is a powerful blend of organic grasses: wheatgrass, barley, alfalfa with the added benefits of Chlorella- a highly nutritious and alkalising algae, also added are blueberries and celery extract.

TOXINS AND ACIDITY WHERE DOES IT COME FROM
Every cell in nature is affected by oxidation which is like “rusting”, we are all aging but so much has changed in our environments over the past decades. We are now faced with a surge of toxins, which are everywhere: when an apple is cut and the slice exposed, it turns brown, a sore or cut on your skin becomes inflamed. This is due to a natural process called oxidation. This happens to all cells in nature, including the ones in your body. While the body metabolizes oxygen very efficiently, less than 2% of cells will get damaged in the process and turn into free radicals, which will bind to healthy cells and cause damage. Simply put toxins cause free radicals which damage our cells and cause disease. And an increase in toxins will cause more damage.
An increase in exposure to toxins, poor diet and food choices, lack of anti oxidants, along with high stress has been cited as creating a recipe for cancer. An extract from the book immune system cure, notes that 80% of all cancers are caused by toxins in the environment.
Where do toxins come from:
Food: Pesticides, Herbicides are added to our fruit and vegetables, everything is processed with many additives, flavour enhancers and preservatives. Livestock are fed grains that are pumped full of hormones and so virtually nothing is “uncontaminated” . Then we don’t cook food correctly, fry too much, add too much seasoning and fats(the wrong ones) AND we consume too much junk food, which has virtually no nutritional value, is jam packed with toxins and generally contains too much fat, sugar and sodium. As a result diabetes, cholesterol and blood pressure rates are rising.
Did you know that trace amounts of pesticides are found in baby foods and even being added to baby formulas? Xeno estrogens(harmful chemical estrogens, which mimic the hormone estrogen in our bodies) are found in pesticides.
Packaging: BPA is an industrial chemical (and also a synthetic estrogen that effects the human hormone system), found in polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. Epoxy resins are used to coat the inside of metal products, such as food cans, bottle tops and water supply lines. Open your fridge and see how many food stuffs are in plastic in the fridge-frightening to see. Exposure to BPA is a concern because of possible health effects of BPA on the brain, behaviour and prostate gland of foetuses, babies and children.
Plastic can release toxic breakdown products like phthalates into food and beverages. Found in condiment bottles, teething rings, toys, shower curtains, window cleaner and detergent bottles, shampoo bottles, cooking oil bottles, food packaging, medical equipment, windows and piping. Also, the manufacturing of PVC is known to release poisonous chemical compounds into the environment.
Plastic is made up of various resins which do not fit into a specific category and so relates to various types of plastics, including those found in baby bottles, water bottles, sunglasses, DVDs, iPod and computer cases, signs and displays, certain food containers and nylon. While some may be safe, some are concerning.
Don’t microwave polycarbonate plastics or put them in the dishwasher, because the plastic may break down over time and allow BPA to leach into foods.
Toiletries: it is estimated that we are exposed to more than 130 chemicals by the time we leave our bathrooms in the morning, these chemicals come from: soaps, shower gels, shampoos, shaving creams, toothpastes, deodorants, perfumes, after shaves, cosmetics- grab a label and read the chemical make up of each product, it is quite an eye opener, 1 product may contain up to 20 chemicals-toxins.
Air- Pollution such as gases, carbon dioxide(car fumes provide a great source), and the chemical hormones - xeno estrogens which imitate estrogen in our bodies, are in our air we breath. Children are starting hormonal changes earlier, there is a greater amount of reproductive health problems starting from younger ages and the sad problem is that xeno estrogens are produced by industrial, agricultural and chemical companies so we are being exposed to it not only from our air, but from pesticides and certain plastics.
Smoking: Smoking contains up to 600chemicals/toxins and is damaging to our health and it effects those around you. There is so much information available on the dangers of smoking.
Household cleaners and sprays: We have to wash dishes, dust and clean- again any of these products are full of toxins which we are exposed to when we use them. Opt for more natural products which are free of petro chemicals, which are also less harmful to us and the environment.
Heavy metals: heavy metal exposure comes from petrol, canned food, milk and meats, cigarette smoke, deodorants, dental fillings(mercury), tin foil, fertilizers, paint. All types of heavy metals have various long term effects on the body, heavy metals consist of: Arsenic(most toxic), Aluminium(has been linked to Alzheimer’s disease, memory loss), Mercury(potent neurotoxin), cadmium, Nickel.
Electronics we use on a daily basis: Cell phones, ipads, laptops, tvs- Mercury, lead, barium, chromium and cadmium are just a few of the hazardous and toxic elements found in our electronics. These cause problems in the following ways: manufacturing these products chemicals are used produce noxious gases-causing pollution, recycling of these items cause the toxic elements to leak into our soil contaminating the environment. Cell phone use exposes us to radiation.
Toxic free radicals are formed in the body too: Stress hormones, emotional disturbances, anxiety and negative emotions all create free radicals as well.
And all of this disturbs our internal balance and creates acidity, oxidation and degeneration, we age quicker, can develop illnesses more easily .It is impossible to avoid toxins as there is a lot that is out of our control, taking a mere vitamin and mineral supplement is no longer enough to support our health, the most effective way to clear the toxins is by taking a Green supplement: Super Nutri Greens was developed to assist with this. But also be aware and make better choices for yourself where you can.
Other ways to improve health and reduce toxin damage:
- Healthier dietary choices, add more fresh fruit and vegetables to your diet, steam and lightly cook veges and steam/grill proteins, do not over cook. Eat more salads. Opt for healthier snack options: fruits, seeds and nuts. Avoid all processed foods completely, including sugar and “junk foods”.
- Buy more organic vegetables and free range meats where possible. Baby foods: opt for the organic food jars and more organic formulas.
- Exercise a brisk walk 3-4 times a week is a good start, to work on circulation and improve oxygenation.
- Use alternatives in place of plastic. Use glass, porcelain or stainless steel containers for hot foods and liquids instead of plastic containers.
- Use more natural cosmetics and cleaning products. Most petro chemical free cleaning products are a few rand more, but they tend to last longer so are more cost effective in the long run.
- Recycle what you can, to help the environment which in turn will help us.
- Drink more water: Boiling and filtering the water will remove most impurities.
- Manage stress: start an exercise routine, take up a hobby- this is helps to occupy the mind and is a stress reliever.
- Take the correct supplements: Alkalising formulas such as Super Nutri Greens and immune formulas such as Immune Support, are important supplement types to be taken to assist acidity and immunity.
- Conventional medicines: try change what you can to natural alternatives and only what is possible. Look for more natural aids to help with sleeping, allergies, hormonal problems, digestive problems etc.
- Have a LIVE BLOOD ANALYSIS to visually identify toxins in the blood and the effect they have on your blood cells. Also, see more specifically what you may be lacking in nutrients and what other areas of your health may need attention.
